You knew something had changed. You were right.

Navigate midlife with confidence
You might feel a bit off. More irritable than usual, sleeping poorly, or being woken by 3am hot flushes.

What you’re experiencing is common. That doesn’t mean it’s something you have to navigate alone.

Most women go through perimenopause and menopause without proper guidance — especially when it overlaps with weight, hormone health, and the changes that come with midlife.

We change that with a personalised treatment therapy plan and the clinical oversight to adjust it as your body changes.

You don’t have to wait until it's ‘bad enough’

Perimenopause and menopause don’t look the same for everyone. Some women notice two changes, some fifteen, from sleep and mood to brain fog, aching joints, and skin. Whatever you’re feeling is real, and there’s care for it at any stage. You don’t have to wait for it to get worse first.

Your hormones and your weight are intertwined

In midlife they’re interconnected: as hormones shift, so does how your body stores fat and uses energy. Juniper looks at the whole picture, with a team that already knows your history.

FAQs

Your questions, answered

What is Jupiter Menopause?

Juniper Menopause is a practitioner-led telehealth program for women experiencing perimenopause or menopause. You have a personalised initial consultation with a menopause expert, and if eligible, receive a tailored treatment plan. You are supported throughout with regular check-ins and access to the medical support team at any point.

Who will I see for my consultation?

You will see a Juniper menopause expert — a practitioner with extensive experience in women's health and menopause. Juniper is committed to continuity of care, so where possible you will see the same practitioner throughout your treatment journey.

How long is the initial consultation?

Your initial consultation is up to 45 minutes.

What happens in the initial consultation?

Your practitioner will review the answers from your symptom quiz, your health history, your existing treatment journey, and what you are hoping to achieve. If you are deemed eligible for our menopause program, from there they will develop a personalised treatment plan suited to your symptoms and circumstances.

What should I prepare before my consultation?

You do not need to prepare anything formal. Your practitioner will use your quiz responses to guide the conversation. If you would like to make notes on your symptoms beforehand, that is useful but not required. Please ask your practitioner as many questions as you like.

Can I join the menopause program if I am already on a Juniper weight program?

Yes. The menopause program is available to all Juniper Weight patients. Menopause and weight management treatment plans are fully compatible, particularly for managing weight changes during perimenopause. Make sure to include this in your symptom quiz and tell your practitioner during your consultation — they will take both into account when building your treatment plan.

My symptoms do not seem severe enough. Do I really need support?

There is no minimum severity required to access care. If your symptoms are affecting your sleep, your mood, your energy, your work or your quality of life in any way — that is enough reason to seek support. You do not need to be experiencing severe symptoms to benefit from our treatment program.

What is the difference between perimenopause and menopause?

Perimenopause is the years leading up to your final period, when hormone levels begin to fluctuate. It typically starts in your 40s but can begin earlier. During perimenopause your cycles may become irregular and symptoms can begin even while you are still having periods.

Menopause is defined as the exact moment in time when a woman has gone 12 consecutive months without a period (without another medical reason). The average starting age is 51, though it varies. Symptoms can continue for years beyond menopause

What is menopause and why does it occur?

Menopause occurs when a woman no longer ovulates and the hormones oestrogen and progesterone decline. A woman is considered menopausal after 12 months without a menstrual period (without another medical reason). Symptoms caused by hormonal changes can begin much earlier, during perimenopause — which lasts on average four years but can be longer. The average starting age of menopause is 51, though it generally occurs between the ages of 45 and 60. Most women experience symptoms for five to ten years, with an average duration of seven years.

How do I know if I am in perimenopause?

Perimenopause can begin years before your final period. Symptoms vary widely and can include changes in your cycle, hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, sleep disruption, brain fog, and more. A Juniper menopause expert will assess based on your symptoms, age, and health history. You do not need a blood test to be assessed.

I am in my late 30s. Can I already be in perimenopause?

Yes. Perimenopause can start earlier than most people expect — hormonal fluctuations can begin in the mid to late 30s for some women. If you are experiencing symptoms that fit, it is worth getting an assessment.

What are the most common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause?

Women can experience a wide range of symptoms. Based on what Juniper patients are actually reporting, the most common are:

  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Sleep disruption
  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
  • Mood changes and anxiety
  • Hair thinning
  • Low libido
  • Hot flushes and night sweats
  • Weight changes, particularly around the abdomen
  • Not every woman experiences all of these, and severity varies significantly from person to person.
